Ed Iacobucci, the former founder and CEO of Citrix and a software industry veteran decided to evolve his passion for aviation. En-route, he assembled a group of versatile and diverse software professionals and mathematicians that developed a sophisticated platform, providing an extremely efficient solution to manage on-demand scheduling for an air taxi service. The core components of the technology were a state-of-the-art operations management system and an integrated resource scheduling system.

When market conditions became more challenging in 2008, a group of investors lead by GTD Capital and United Technologies identified the opportunity to take the original on-demand scheduling software, and the value it provided, to other business aviation operators and into other vertical markets, which resulted in the founding of BoldIQ in September of 2008.

Over the course of the first six years of operations, BoldIQ productized its technology and acquired its first six business aviation customers in the USA and Europe. In 2014, the company signed an agreement with Jeppesen (a Boeing Company) to distribute its Astro Operations Manager and the Solver Realtime Resources Scheduling products in the Business Aviation market. At the same time, the company acquired its first customers for on-demand scheduling in the transportation, mobile workforce, utilities and distribution markets.

Currently, BoldIQ is bringing its real-time, on-demand scheduling solutions to aviation, logistics and other complex and essential industries.

These industries are continuously faced with demands to do more with the same or even less resources than previously. Solver delivers a proven way to unlock hidden value, with users reporting they free up to 30% of their resources and reduce operating costs by up to 25%, resulting in an increase in profitability of up to 20%.
